Previous news -

Hello there friends and neighbors,

It's April 2005 as I write this, and spring is in the air. It's been a wonderfully snowy winter in the high desert and southern Rockies, and there should actually be water in the rivers this summer. What a concept, huh?

Hired Hands played a great concert series in January up at the Colorado Mountain College campus outside of Glenwood Springs, CO (see the poster on the home page). We had the fourth Hand Gordon Burt along for the ride with his incredible fiddling, and yes, it was great fun.

Hired Hands isn't doing a lot of gigs these days, as we're a bit spread out, with Billy down in sunny Prescott, Arizona, but we'll be getting together up Colorado-New Mexico way or down Arizona way, you can be sure of that, and we'll keep you posted on those note-worthy events as they happen! Of course, The Rifters hope that you come see them while you're waiting for more Hired Hands gigs!

Be well, one and all, and thanks always and all ways for your support and friendship over so many years of good music and good times! Hope to see you soon - Don, Billy, and Jim - Hired Hands

Old news -

It's the end of August 2004 now - how time does fly. Fall is in the air, and winter isn't far behind. Funny how that works. Brother Billy Bond has flown the coop and moved to Prescott, Arizona, but we're going to keep doing some gigs as Hired Hands as we are able (check out the calendar page), and meanwhile The Rifters are keeping the flame of good acoustic Southwestern Folk music going in the clubs, parties and dance halls of southern Colorado and northern New Mexico. Speaking of The Rifters, we just put out an new CD that any Hired Hands fan would love. Check it out at The Rifters site, or at the Howlin' Dog Records site.

Older news -

It's February 2004 as I'm writing this. Hired Hands just finished a great little tour of the Colorado Mountain College campuses in Glenwood Springs and Steamboat Springs, Colorado. It was a great time and we want to thank all the CMC folks, particularly Alice Beauchamp, for treating us so well and setting it all up for us. There aren't many Hired Hands things coming up in the near future right now, but that may change, and we'll keep you posted. The calendar page has dates for Don's solo gigs as well as dates for The Rifters - check it out, and come see this band. It's a good one. Thanks to everybody that ordered CDs over the holiday season - it sure feels good to know the music is getting out there and being listened to. Check out the Calendar page for the dates of things coming up, enjoy life, and be well!

Our fondest best wishes always,

Don, Jim, and Billy - Hired Hands
